Martin Klimas destroys a lot of clay to make his art. Combining the silence of Eadweard Muybridge’s horse pictures with the association-rich composition of a still life, Klimas breaks recognizable objects so they become something else, and stops us just at the moment of transformation.
That is absolutely amazing! How does he do it? There must be a trick because he's only destroying just the bottom half of the objects... Does he shoot them or something? I love broken, fragile things. wow
Yea they're great, aren't they?! Well I read that he literally just drops all of them from the same height and has a camera situated to take a series of photos to capture the moment it hits the ground! Then he goes through and chooses the best shot for each object. But it's so crystal clear, isn't it?
Btw M, how do I follow you? There's no button/link on your main page!
